We have a lot of people in this town that rely on our local MIU. The elderly and vulnerable will be most affected by this and it seriously needs addressing

Unfortunately these decisions are normally made by non-clinicians who have no understanding of the meaning 'patient-centred care'. But as always the areas of North and South-east Cornwall are treated in a shoddy fashion by people in suits tucked away in Truro offices. This is an appalling decision which will be to the detriment of the local population.

My family and others known to us have used this facility for decades. Temporary closure tends to lead to permanent. If there were more MIUs then Derriford would be greatly relieved. 111 did not know there were MIU at Launceston, Bodmin and Liskeard

It would be a disaster to my family and I to lose this excellent facility. The staff there have given us top grade treatment, care and attention over the years and the alternatives on offer are pretty well impossible public transports journeys away and extremely difficult car journeys away. We would be left with no alternative but to call 999 for an ambulance.

I live at South Petherwin with my two small children and we all needs this facility to remain open and fully operational for the health and professional care of the local community.

I have used this MIU several times for my daughter who is chronic asthmatic. The waits for a ambulance or a long trip to a major hospital or another MIU is dangerous for her and life threatening. The staff at Launceston MIU are amazing and do a fabulous job. Please reconsider the closure

This is an essential requirement, if these facilities are not kept open a 50 plus round trip for some who have no transportation , added to the fact the staff provide an outstanding service to the local community we must not let it close …
