The people of Launceston have long suffered compromised healthcare provision which is already teetering dangerously on neglectful abuse. Children, vulnerable people and elderly need LOCAL provision

Our community needs this unit and closing it just increases the pressure on others. If there are genuine reasons for closure and the claims that it is only temporary are true, why can’t the community be told?

It’s worrying for residents of Cornwall of this closure. It’s going to put more strain on other units in Cornwall

Surely more primary health related pathways and options should be opening up, not closures ! It's no wonder our Ambulance Service & Emergency Departments are overwhelmed which has a detrimental effect to the public.

In a rural community there is a need for an accessible access to emergency care, LGH is needed, accessible and valuable to local people.

This service is invaluable for the community, i myself have used it many times for varying reasons, all the staff there are amazing, and do such a great job, it would be devastating to lose this service, and the nearest A and E departments are 25 miles away in plymouth! Truro is even further, and they are under red alert already due to the wide area they cover, with the tourist season in full swing this decision has to be a crazy one!!!

It needs to be saved and more funding put into it.

It is vitally important that this minor injures stay open. Cornwall is a county with only one major hospital for a large area, the minor injuries units dotted around the county enable more people to be seen and leaves the main hospital free to deal with emergencies and more complex conditions.
