Totally appalled by this suggestion, the minor injuries unit is a vital part of our community and with the total lack of public transport within the region how are people who are unable to drive, whether through not having a license or due to having a minor injury preventing them, supposed to seek help when needed? Getting an emergency doctors appointment at the medical centre, which is also understaffed, is an impossibility. Sometimes the only help left is at the minor injuries unit. Do not close it!

Used many times by my family for many years. Too far from Derriford to not have this local hospital and minor injury unit.

i have had to use launceston hospital on many occasions , both for minor injuries , to see consultants and physio therapy , not to mention my parents and grandparents have been patients there, to close the hospital would then mean a 50 minute drive to the closest hospital

My mum uses the miu frequently. If she were unable to go here, her dependency on other services, such as district nurses, would increase, resulting inimimal or no savings for the STP. These rural
Hospitals provide a lifeline where the main hospital is so far away, and services like Kernow doc so stretched. The miu provide a wonderful service, please do not cut it.

We need to keep this vital facility in the community, with Plymouth 45minutes away and the hospital there already under immense strain it would be madness to add to it.
