We need Launceston hospital. Where are loved ones meant to go to recover from operations. We need minor injuries as Tavistock. Bodmin. Stratton are too far away. This will put more strain on ambulance service or people will not bother to get minor injuries checked. So causing infection . More expense to NHS.

This is an essential part of our community. All other facilities are an hour away, which means taking children out of school for nearly a day just to get to a hospital appointment that might last 30 mins. To visit hospitalised elderly relatives/friends is impossible when there is such a journey involved. Derriford is crammed full already and there is little parking available.

This is too valuable a local resource to lose. Launceston is a growing town with many new housebuilding projects this new increased population needs a local hospital not a 40 mile drive to an overstretched Derriford.

Both my husband and I have used Launceston hospital on several occasions. It would be crazy to lose this valuable community hospital especially due to all the new housing plans in Launceston and the surrounding area. You need to keep the infrastructure and services to support existing and new residents. To close the community hospital would put too much pressure on the already busy medical Centre . Derriford is too far for the frail, elderly, disabled & those without their own transport to get to.

This is such a critical service - we are an hour away from any other main hospital!

What on earth are you thinking. We are in Cornwall and have to travel 40+ miles to see a hospital Take away our local hospital and you are going to have a lot more money being spent least a lot more serious incidents to handle. What is wrong with this government!? Do not get rid of your local hospitals.

This is a vital community resource that provides care and treatment for local residents. Derriford hospital is 40 miles from Launceston and cannot be accessed by many older residents and young families - Launceston undoubtably needs to retain its in patient beds together with minor injury unit

This is a really important service for both Cornwall and the outlying rural Devon villages close to the Cornish border. It shouldn't and cannot close without it having a huge detrimental effect on the surrounding communities.

This hospital is essential! It takes over 30mins to get to Liskeard and an hour to Derriford compared to 5mins to Launceston. We have used it many times.
