Local people depend on this hospital, my grandparents over the years have been able to come back from derriford hospital closer to their home and have help & support from the staff at Launceston hospital to eventually get them back to there own home.
My children have been treated at the minor injuries unit at Launceston hospital and have received amazing care from all the nurses/doctors.
The people of Launceston would be lost without its hospital.

It would be unthinkable for a town the size of Launcestin not to have its own hospital

Coming from New York City 3 years ago, my partner and I were in visiting his family and this hospital was the first hospital that we had been to after a year of his illness that even bothered to try to diagnose him...every other hostpital in the United States that we went to failed us. This hospital was one of the biggest blessings, with the kindest people.
Thank you,

I ve used this hospital and facilities on many occasions for myself relatives and friends and it is a vital service in a rural area. Anyone thinking it must be cut back and closed needs to see a psychoanalyst !!!!

If you don't have a car available, or someone can't drive you, or the buses are too infrequent and unreliable, how much you appreciate a local service like this.

We need a local hospital it is 50 mins to Plymouth. and even further from the surrounding villages. I managed to drive to Launceston with a broken arm. I would not get to Plymouth.

We need local hospitals & Minor Injury Units, one hospitals are so far away in Cornwall but also if it closed the main hospitals will be under even more strain & pressure

Use this hospital a lot I can't drive and it's handy when it's just something they can deal with instead of going all the way to Plymouth which is nearly a hour away from my home and would have to wait ages to be seen .if all these small hospitals are shut they larger hospitals are going to be dread full to go to

We need our hospital local people have fund raised to help it and so it would be a kick in the teeth to loose it, if the NHS what to save money then they should stop wasting money, there is far to many people getting their medications' for free, everyone should pay something even if only a pound or two.

Too greater a distance and time to travel to another hospital from Launceston, especially if unsure of severity of illness/accident.
Wonderful service, good premises and dedicated staff who go beyond their "duty".
Until there is a larger medical centre in Launceston we cannot go without the hospital as it's almost impossible to see a GP on the day you phone up

My 9 7year old mother was cared for at this hospital for 3 months on 2012, her care was second to none, it would be a tragedy if it were to close, there is less & less place for our elderly for recuperation before being able to return to their own homes, this hospital provides an all round vital service.

This hospital is needed in this town now because of all the new housing going up. Plus they have a fantastic service for minor injuries which I have used lots of times for me and my children.
