This Sportsmans Club (LASC) is one of the best int his country and provides a safe and secure way of training our youth in Los Alamos CountyAnd surrounding areasAndIs one of the reasons areCounty is sought afterFor employment and for living conditions.To do away with thisClub would beA slap in the face to the countyAnd many of the residentsWho live here and work for the DOE.Fostering good relationsShould beA key elementTo retaining thisFine operation.Safe secureGun and bow usage Is a big plus for northern New Mexico.Please reconsider any issueWhich would lead towardsDismantlingLoss Alamo's club

Please keep the Sportman's club open. It keeps the land around it safe from environmental contamination from shooting activities in other than a controlled location. It's a vital part of the community and used by many.

Please do not close the Los Alamos Sportsmen's club

The recreational value and environmental stewardship that can be directly attributed to this facility extend well beyond its physical boundaries.

At times like this we need a place to keep our skills sharp and and exercise our 2nd amendment rights

Among other reasons to keep it up and running, the Los Alamos Sportsmen's Club is a factor in talent recruitment and attraction for LANL. It is also a vital resource for the Los Alamos school athletics program. Closing such a fine and welcoming range would be a tragedy.

The closure of the Los Alamos Sportsman’s Club would be a significant loss to the surrounding communities. The club offers an outstanding shooting sports facility providing a safe place for learning, practicing, and competing in such sports that include archery and firearms. Additionally, the facility is used by local law enforcement for training and qualifying for their firearms activities. An example of the impact of closing the facility was recently experienced at the beginning of the COVID closures. The local national forest was filled with people seeking places to carry on their shooting practices while the range was closed. While most people practice safely, the lack of a designated facility creates arbitrary ranges on public land that are prone to non-shooter interactions with potential for an accident. Finally, because the facility is used and maintained by its members from across the region it is a place where people from many communities meet and make friendships. The sportsman’s club has in recent years made many improvements that upgrade the safety, security, and quality of the facility. It would be such a waste to see it closed.

Please take a good look at the what LASC provides to the community and the surrounding area before you close it. LASC has been there for almost sixty years, there is not a good reason to close it.

I've been a member of LASC for almost 10 years. It's a total service and benefit to northern New Mexico.

This motion is unjustified and insensible. Renew the lease as usual. No reason to change something that has worked fine for so many years.

Please renew this permit. This is one of the few legal and safe places to shoot in the greater Santa Fe/Los Alamos area. It is a rich part of Los Alamos history. Closing it will damage our community.

I've been a member of the club for years, they have a wide variety of activities and training for all levels of ability and all ages. Please keep the range for the northern new mexico community.

LASC provides immeasurable value to the Los Alamos community and surrounding area. Its loss would rob the town of a long standing sporting and family opportunities that are not easily replaced.
