What possible reason could the DoE have to force this closure, other than to exercise government muscle in the worst possible way?

This is an invaluable resource for sports shooters, hunters and law enforcement to use to train with firearms and to shoot in a safe, controlled environment. It should absolutely be retained as a shooting club!

We are all certain that if the LASC were owned by the San Ildefonso or Santa Clara Indians they would be getting a 5 million grant for improvements

Have used LASC for practice and training since 1984 when I move to LA. Not sure how I would replace it!

Please save our sportsman club as it's a little more than just a place to shoot. It's a place to educate, learn, support for the community and one another.

LASC provides an essential firearm training range to New Mexico citizens and law enforcement.

Considering Los Alamos National Laboratory's recent and planned hiring of thousands of new workers, the need for a facility like LASC is only increasing--otherwise, as already noted, recreational shooters will be forced to less safe and controlled public lands, safety and proficiency training opportunities will be greatly curtailed, and inevitable negative impacts on public lands will increase.

A valuable asset to our community that gets a lot of use. It would be a shame to close it!

This would be a catastrophic loss to this community and surrounding areas

This is crazy, this is the history of Los Alamos, and the only place to safely exercise our right to use firearms. Please don''t do this to us. James Douglass

This is a HUGE recreational resource for the surrounding community. Shooters travel, easily, and hour to use this wonderful facility

The sportsman's club provides a service to the community that cannot be duplicated. It is a safe and well maintained place to practice, teach, and train. Not only for the larger community but also for local law enforcement as well. Without the club facilities many recreational shooters will be forced to shoot at other places including less safe and controlled areas on public lands. Safety and training courses would also be curtailed and difficult to continue.

As a club member, I think this club is an invaluable resource to Northern New Mexico.

Such a valuable resource to have for Los Alamos County. Would be such a shame to close it.
