I have kept my boat on the floats at Leshi Marina for 25 plus years. The floats at in a terrible state. They desperately need rebuilding and repair to the point of being unsafe.
These floats are envalueable in that I can have my ready go out at any time. The facility at Leshi has been a great asset to city. It provides a place where the average person can enjoy recreational boating at naminal cost. I believe that this facility should maintained as a resource for people of average income to have access to the lake.

Lakewood produces revenue that parks uses to maintain other facilities.Yet they don't maintain the revenue producer. They increased moorage rates years back for a repair fund they refuse to use.We don't want a subsidy. We want the moorage we pay for to be safe and not left to rot.

No to privatization. Maintain current slip lengths and number by rebuilding on the same footprint in an ecologically sound manner that doesn't alter the current coverage over the lake with larger slips.
Utilize current moorage income to repair and rebuild the docks. No fee increases!

No privatization! Let funds generated by the moorage pay for the repairs to the facility! It's common sense!

Parks should take care of what they have. The Metropolitan Parks Improvement District will provide the Parks Dept. with more funds than they need to fix and maintain WHAT WE HAVE, first and foremost. Why should we give away rights to OUR parks property to developers,. Parks needs to use the money they receive from the marinas for the marinas & not the general fund. Poor, poor management of funds!

If public funds have been set aside for the maintenance of Lakewood Moorage, they should be used for just that. Lake Washington needs continued public access to its shoreline and its facilities, and the suggestion that it be privatized further restricts access to parks that should be open to all in the immediate neighborhood and the wider community of South Seattle.

Lakewood Moorage is a big part of our neighborhood and community, and seeing it turned private will personally hurt so many people living here. Release the funds for Lakewood Moorage!

I am opposed to the privatization of the Leschi and Lakewood Marinas. They have both been shortchanged over the years. The money collected in fees should have been applied to their upkeep. The city has allowed them to deteriorate, where did the money go that should have been spent on these moorages over the years?

please provide public funds for public moorage! this is a highly used marina that is part of our neighborhood. It quietly operates a great facility for smaller boats that allow our community members to explore nature with!

Privatization inevitably leads to less access for lower income people. Please don't privatize either of these moorages.
