I've lived in Seattle for 35 years and find Lake Washington, and its lakefront amenities, to be on of the most important aspects of my quality of life. I visit friends at Lakewood Moorage, hang out there on the boat and the shore, enjoying swimming from the beach and kayaking in the bay. Keep it public, keep it safe and keep it open! Thank you!!!!

Please release these funds. Repairs are desperately needed.

There are imaginative ideas on the table for best uses of this public asset, and Parks needs to work with community to help realize them. I am not a boat owner, but support the ideas put forward by the community, and appalled by Park's turn toward corporate privatization.

Please do not privatize our marinas. The character of Lakewood would be changed and that is not what I signed up for. I don't know of another place on Lake Washington that has the wild life this place has. Please use the money collected for moorage fees to repair what is broken. The city of Seattle is not being a good steward of what you have. My friends love coming down to the marina because it is in a beautiful setting.

I have a smaller boat and have had countless amazing days on the lake. I would lose this if you privatize our marina. My brother moors in Edmonds. He was shocked at the condition of our marina this summer. Please release the 4 million so our wonderful marina can be upgraded with much needed repairs.

Parks Dept. should be ashamed for what they are trying to do by privatizing our public marinas. They have ran them into the ground. No repairs or basic upkeep in years, though they continue to collect millions in revenue.

these moorages are best for smaller boats and few if any live boards. We need to restore access to the end public dock as well. Privatization will ruin the character of our communities and impact sensitive environmental areas.

Please do not privatize our marinas. And release the 4 million that is intended for repairs to the marina.

Agreed, fixing the moorages is long overdue.

Our moorages have been generating revenues for DPR to spend elsewhere for many years. It's DPR's turn to invest in the moorages, so this revenue stream can continue. Contracting with a wealthy private entity to invest their own money is a big mistake. To improve the public benefit offered by the moorages, public money should and must be invested. Let's keep boating affordable in our moated city, and open up boating opportunities for students and families in Central and Southeast Seattle. I join in saying NO to PRIVATIZATION!
