Save Kythera's Pristine Skyline! Stop industrial wind turbine construction on the Island.

As a visitor to Kythera I feel you are destroying the natural beauty of the island and also endangering many migratory bird species.

Don't understand how such windmills would not be more profitable on the mainland. Why on Kythira?

I love Kythira - for its remote bays, the lonely hills, the cafés. Its a refuge for rare flowers, birds, the fragrance of hyme and sea. Its a precious gem and ot a place for brutal industry, needed by nowbody living there. And tourists as me would not come again, because we have enough industry and windturbines at home.

Save our land. No to Windmills!!

This is just too many turbines for a small island and would definitely have negative health, environmental and economic impact on the island and its inhabitants.

No one wants the entire Island cover in windmills! What is installed on an Island should only be to support the needs of the island and not shipped back to the mainland, so maybe all the Island only needs solar farm or at best one or two of these monstrosities.

Please stop the windmills.

Couldn't smaller and newer technology be employed? Wind turbines like this were developed decades ago and do leave an impact.

No wind turbines

My mothers surname is Katsoolis. We come from the village of Katsoulianika on the Island of Kithira. The beauty and sacredness of this island is in its perfect simplicity. If you propose to bring such a thing to this island, then ask the people who live there, by way of Census.

While wind energy is a valid source of energy production, it is not acceptable to ruin a true gem of the world, in Kythera. Such installations are out of character with the island and would endanger the ability of Kythereans to earn income and, potentially the health of the locals. There is a valid place for the turbines and it is not Kythera. Perhaps Antikythera.

A couple of wind turbine for Kythera’s own power usage would be great. But as for a high density wind farm, that’s just not fair, it should be spread across Greece to both spread the environmental impact and reduce the transmission losses.

Please don't consider this!! We have them here, they are noisy, reduce home prices, and an eyesore!!! Leave beautiful kythera unspoilt please.
