I hope that one day this school will be able to find a new home. I for one glad that the decision was made to keep my child and the other children that attended this school safe. For those commenting to build a new roof, you can thank your current lawmakers for all those wonderful DOD cuts!

The school is unable to operate in the current building. However that did not mean the organization had to dissolve. That decision was made by the board and administration only, going against what is directed in the bi-laws and constitution.

This isn't true at all. The school is closing due to it being deemed uninhabitable; the roof is close to collapsing.

I went to preschool there in 1986. I still remember all the Japanese songs they taught me!

This school did wonders for my special needs son while we were stationed on Camp Foster. I was also a substitute teacher there. The curriculum was outstanding. Having the Japanese teachers there was great for learning customs cultures from Japan.

Please keep Kuwae Preschool open! My children attending Kuwae was one of the highlights of our time in Okinawa and many more children should benefit from this special little preschool on Lester.
