I would really question the councils motivation for closing this friendly convenient and very tasty local eatery . Is it another example of corrupt little Ireland ?? My young daughter has just said we can stage a protest outside the chip van . Keep strong Emma Jane you have people power in your side .

For my family, The Village Grill is the only take out eatery available in this area. EmmaJane provides home cooked food in a very clean friendly environment, and if this service was to be taken away from our village it would be a crying shame and give people another reason why not, to not stop in Knockcroghery. You know it does provide a nice meeting place for people where they can sit and have a chat over a coffee or a bit to eat.. Close this and you are depriving us the locals of choice, friendly meeting place, employment in the area and above all you will have closed down another service in the small villages around Ireland

Been open for more than 17 years, supplying delicious healthy salads, great fast food, beautiful homemade bread and a cup of coffee I have reccommend too many times to friends and family. She even opens for stags early in the morning to supply rolls and food for them and has been a great part of the community. Let's support and reward local entrepreneurs/intrepreneurs who work hard to run a business in the economic climate we have in Ireland, let alone Roscommon.
