Far too few services already for young people and those with disabilities. Will only leadto problems in society in the future.

As someone who has taken part in the Duke of Edinburgh as a young adult I cannot stress how important it is for children to be able to have things like this available it can have an amazing impact on your life

I thoroughly enjoyed my DofE experience and feel that it should be an opportunity for all. I also was able to spend my Gold residential working for the WACKY team, it was a very enjoyable and rewarding experience which I will cherish forever. I feel that children and young adults need these opportunities as it enables them to grow as characters and build many desirable characteristics which benefit them in so many ways.

What next? DofE represents an opportunity for ordinary young people to do extraordinary things as they become the citizens of tomorrow. Leave it alone!!

My daughter has achieved her gold duke of Edinburgh through this service. She is severely disabled and would not have been able to achieve this if it hasnt been for the hard work as dedication of the staff here. It is difficult to find somewhere where she can be included.

Whilst fully appreciating that cuts may need to be made, I would have thought that benefits like the DofE award scheme is not one that should be cut. The work they do for ALL young people is second to none and should be fully supported.

Kirklees DofE provided me with an opportunity to participate in this scheme as my school did not offer it. I truly believe that completing the award in the way that I did with Kirklees helped me to gain my place at University and my job as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist. The opportunities they offer for children with disabilities make such a difference to those families.
