We have been playing the course weekly (weather dependent) for over 20 years. We are now in our late 60's and were planning to play into our 80's. We tried other P+P but only play this one. Perfect for seniors and youngsters. I don't believe an executive course will be successful. It will be the end of golfing for us as we find executives too much for us. Executives like Mylora are closing anyway. I would have liked to have seen more $ put into the course and some marketing. Virtually none over the 20 yrs we have been coming here.

Just leave the course alone.
Make it affordable to kids at $5 per round. Build up the next generation of golfers. Greedy golf course owners have excluded kids for 30 years, that's why golf is in decline. JD

Kensington is a unique course and deserves to be saved for generations. It's A fantastic layout of short holes with enough challenge for beginners to intermediate. I probably wouldn't golf if not for days spent long ago, double parring hole ten. There is an abundance of 18 hole full courses, like Burnaby mountain not too far away. Keep Kensington the way it is, and instead invest in renovations and maintenance

Kensington is the best, I'd much rather have 18 short holes than 9 slightly longer ones. Burnaby already has Riverway and Burmount championship length courses. Changing Kensy would be a silly move.

This course is a veritable jewel - and affordable - which allows younger folks to learn and appreciate golf. Conversion to a so-called Executive Course will no doubt increase the cost and make it unaffordable - besides stripping many beautiful trees. We must stop this insanity!

This is a family oriented course. Where are people supposed to take children to teach them to play golf? This is a stupid idea to tear it down. These type of decisions are why the Mayor will probably not get re-elected.

My family truly enjoy this facility and we think it is wonderful and a good treasure of the community and residents. It doesn't make sense to change it to executive course. If an executive course is really needed, why cannot a vacant grass land be used instead of tearing down a facility already proven useful, respected and loved by the community?

By far the best P&P in lower mainland. I believe it is a shame to create a nine hole executive course in its place. If a person wants to play nine holes only, on a full length course then both Burnaby Mountain and Riverway have options that can accommodate this.

Changing this course will not improve Burnaby's golf offering, because the many cotizens who are asual golfers will be squeezed out, and it's a sad mistake that anyone thinks otherwise. I hope it stays.

This is the best par 3 P. and P. course in metro Vancouver that I can find and that is playable to the beginners and to the elderly like me. Besides, a nine hole executive should have been designed at the time of the existing P and P, trying to design a new over top is lunacy. The number of players will be half and the cost per round should double if not more, don't forget you have to pay for the befriended contractor. Leave it as the beautiful coarse that it was designed for in the first place.

This is a great and affordable little course to play golf whether you are experienced or new to the game. Developing skill and a love for the game on this course translates to green fees down the road on Burnaby's two full size courses. I do not believe that a 9-hole executive course would offer the same access to the game of golf that the existing course does.

Our family moved from east Vancouver to Curtis St in 1994, I enjoyed the course then as my kids did and still do as young adults. It won't be long and my family's forth generation will enjoy it also!Changing it to 9 holes from 18 would be a massive expense! Why destroy what is beautiful, who will pay? We are already taxed to death to the point of not affording extra cirricular activities as it is! SAVE KENSINGTON PICH AND PUTT and spend our tax dollar more wisely or better yet,... lower taxes!!!!!!

I am a Burnaby taxpayer and user of this pitch and putt course. I do not play regular golf and am VERY MUCH OPPOSED to the redevelopment of the Kensington pitch and putt course. Burnaby has regular courses at Riverway and Burnaby Mountain.

Because this course offers the best of all the pitch and putts for practicing, improving your short game or a quick round for fun with family and friends. None others like it and serves more than the immediate community. As golf courses struggle to get memberships, this is a great introduction to the game which may help continue this multi generational game at an affordable price.
