Our kids NEED this pool open!! The river is dangerous, our pools are overcrowded and Yuma has grown! Please re-open for more generations of memories can be made.

We lived on Morrison St for 13 years while our four kids were growing up. Every summer, they and their neighborhood friends walked to Kennedy pool to swim and play. We bought family passes when they would become available. This pool is a must for many children growing up in the area. The memories that they’ll have will never be forgotten. And for a lot of kids nowadays, this is something necessary for their growth and happiness.

My grandkids lived in the manors and loved going to the pool and park. So many kids in that area have minimal resource if any for recreation. I say keep the pool!!!!

I grew up swimming in the pool. Very sad to see it shut down. Especially for the families that live close by.

This pool is centralized by many low income families. It’s a great summer heat getaway for many children and teens. It definitely helps with keeping youngsters out of trouble.

Pools needs to be made into a long course pool so that the city of Yuma can hold potential regional swim meets and bring in more revenue to the city.

Yuma NEEDS Kennedy Pool! There already isn't enough low cost activities for teens in this town. We need stuff like this to keep these kids from getting bored and ending up in the streets. The fun factory is TOO EXPENSIVE for most of the families here and we've relied on Kennedy Pool for safe summer activities. Shutting this place down is doing a HUGE disservice to the community.

Be great to have a long course training pool as well as another place for everyone to use in the summer!

This is an important part of our town. Many people who do not have the means to own a pool use the Kennedy pool to keep cool in the summer. Keep the pool open.

We as a community need to keep this pool open! The youth of Yuma needs a cool place to go during the hot summers to burn off some energy as well as a safe place for the youth especially the teenagers to be able to go hang out instead of making bad decisions!

The impact closing Kennedy Pool has on the lower income residents of our community will be devastating and the effects will be felt long term. Water safety skills and early swimming classes are essential to Yuma, a city with
many rivers, lakes, and canals. Closing these pools in low income areas is a huge disadvantage in getting our community water ready with a foundation of skills that help keep them safe at a lower cost.

I have lived in yuma for my whole 25years and I remember spending thee best summers at Kennedy pool. The field trips once a year to go swimming where the best. The memories and the friends you make are to cherish. I am now a mommy and I would love for my kids to also experience the joy I once did at Kennedy pool.
