I grew up going to this pool, now it's just ran by skaters who skate the empty pools, we can do so much more with that space.

Save the pool. I have had a pool in my backyard as a child but I have lots of memories going to Kennedy pool to meet up with friends and family. I now as an adult with six children. I have a pool in my backyard but still I’ve taken my children to Kennedy when it was open so they could enjoy the pool as well and meet up with friends and socialize with other kids, their age. It’s more than a pool it’s a place where kids can go meet with other kids and interact with each other in a safe environment.

Talk to other civic leaders who have similarly situated pools in their communities and get ideas from them as to how to keep these types of aquatic facilities open. Alameda, California is a good start. Talk to people in the competitive swimming community before moving forward with an 'Olympic sized pool' plan. Discussing with experts and USERS of these types of facilities is key. You do not know what you do not know until you know it.

I am very saddened to hear that Kennedy Pool may not be restored. I feel like we need more pools open for children and adults to have safe places to spend their time, especially in the summer. I am also disappointed to hear that there is no longer water athletics through the city. That was a wonderful program and Kennedy Pool was an integral part of it.

My kids used this pool back in the early 80's. In operation for 60+ years! No brainier this should be back in operation for local community.
