My niece goes to this school and she loves it!!! I understand that a lot of the girls going to this school wouldn't be going to ANY school if they didn't go here!!! Please keep it open for their sakes and their families!!!

I personally would have never made it without a program like this. I graduated from a Young Parents Highschool like this one and I will be forever grateful for it. Young mothers need this!

Schools like Kairos are a need in the community. Shutting down a school that helps with specialized needs of people that don't meet standard school criteria would be similar to shutting down a homeless center because the people didn't get a home like the rest of society.
It is important to help people succeed, even if it is at different levels than "standard" society. We are each unique and we need to support those that are in a different position than ourselves.

I was a teen parent that completed my education through a similar type of school. Thank God for schools like this and the teachers behind them. Teen parents need as much support as possible. Shame on the system for trying to shut them down instead of showing support.

Everyone has shared their stories I think its my turn. When I was 15 I dropped out of school so I could go work at a Mcdonalds for 7.25 an hour. The pay sucked but I did it because my parents were struggling to pay the bills. Even though both my parents would physically abuse me I loved them endlessly and wanted to help. At 16 I started using drugs. The neglect i felt was extremely great. At 18 my parents kicked me out. Still using drugs but moved on to bigger harder drugs. I was homeless living at a park. Everyone told me I would be the daughter, sister, and friend that would end up in prison I was proving them right quick. My life was a mess! I would have to go into grocery stores to steal food so I could eat sometimes id go weeks without eating. My mom found out what was happening she found me and took me back home. I struggled homeless and a addict for so long i forgot who i was. I staid with my family for a week and then I ran back to the street i dont want to be without drugs. I moved to Mesquite with a boy I met we helped each other get off drugs we got off the streets. I was in a bad place for 4 years. I am 20 now trying to graduate get my life back on track. I have a home a drug free life. Shutting Kairos down is only going to take away my chance of graduating something ive been trying to achieve for a wail. I finally got my life together and you guys are taking a great opportunity for me please dont do this. Ive been kicked to the curb way to many Times.

This school uniquely supports the education of teen moms. Without special support teen moms will likely drop out of school. We all know that dropping out of school will negatively impact not only the girls but their children for years to come. It seems obvious that this school should be given nothing but support from the community and Utah's educational leaders!
