Such a great nursery, my girls have thrived so much due to the committed, passionate, hard working staff!please do not close the nursery, many students with children aspiring to better their lives will struggle to find childcare. Without jungle cats, I couldn't of attended college if jungle cats was not there.

My son attends Jungle Cats. It is an Outstanding nursery, with exceptional, dedicated staff. I have seen him thrive and blossom under their expert care and guidance. The footprint of the nursery is reasonably modest; and I would hazard a guess that it does and will not satisfy the long-term strategic space needs of an ever expanding College. We would urge the College to reconsider how they measure and evaluate the impact of this nursery. Once it is gone, it cannot be replaced. The expertise and excellence built up there will go with it. Its 'return on investment' goes well beyond a matter of physical space or numbers for the College – it is a beacon of excellence, and undoubtedly an asset for the College in terms of reputation, access and diversity, and quality of staff and student experience. Any move towards closure seems unnecessarily extreme, regressive, short-sighted and short-term.

Please don't close it! This is where I was planning on sending Jack when I go back to college in September. You will loose so many students who are parents because they cannot find alternative childcare for their children. So what's the point in expanding?

Disgusted that jungle cats is closing on 15 july 2016. Outstanding Ofsted report. This will cause hardship to parents, staff and the children. It is out of proportion to the gains that will be made to the college.

Please save this outstanding Ofsted rated nursery it's an excellent nursery and is greatly needed by all working mothers, students and staff living and working in the Southend area.

My son has attended Jungle Cats for a while now and absolutely loves it. I think it is absolutely disgusting that is is closing due to the College needing more "space" Why do they not make more use of the massive area that is rarely used by the coffee shop? Once again, money comes before children's stability

Can the college hand on heart say they have explored every other option, the atrium has a huge amount of unused space...as I am sure there are other areas that sit empty. How many classrooms will be provided by taking away the nursery one or two? I find it disgraceful they want to consider closing an outstanding nursery disrupting everyone and making our children suffer as a result just for 1 or 2 classrooms. Please reconsider your actions surely you can see how no one agrees with your decision!

This nursery got my daughter off to the best possible start to life when I had to go back to work. Dedicated, experienced and loyal staff who clearly love their jobs

Don't close an amazing nursery! Our daughter goes to jungle cats and she has come on so far, she is so confident and clever and it's all down to the amazing staff at this nursery. How they can say the college needs space when they have so many empty rooms and spare space, they just need to put there heads together and work it out better. Please don't close the best nursery in Southend!!!

The nursery is an extremely fundamental part of peoples lives and it is a cruel intention to want to close it down. I used to go to South Essex College a few years ago and there was always plenty of empty classrooms. Please would you take into consideration the impact this is having on a number of peoples lives, not just now but in the future. Kindest regards,

Please do not close Jungle Cats. Finding excellent childcare and a convenient location are difficult to do. My cousin's little boy attends this wonderful daycare and excels in early childhood educational skills that will prepare him for school. He has also learned social skills that will provide him with the confidence he needs to be a successful adult. It is not just the loving people who work with him that will help him be successful, but is also the group of children, the stimulating enriching environment and the proximity to home that all contribute to his success. Keeping this facility Asa daycare is important to all the children and families involved and is just as important as adding another classroom to the campus as the future is being built in these rooms with children from the community who are eager to learn.

Not fair the nursery has to suffer for 1 or 2 classrooms! Find space elsewhere!

I did my Work Experience at this nursery many years ago when it was still on the old premises and it's an amazing nursery. The staff are fantastic and the children thrive under their care. To close it would be disgraceful.
