Cannot believe that an incredibly vital service like jungle cats might be closed. Such a passionate and enthusiastic team consistently provide an outstanding service to our children. I can't thank them enough for giving my children such exceptional care and so many amazing memories .So, so sad that this decision is even being considered...... please listen to everyone's comments and save the OUTSTANDING JUNGLE CATS.

My 4 year old went to jingle cats for a year and they are truly amazing, I really would like the chance for my baby to go there when he is older, couldn't find a better nursery

So many staff and students rely on this service. Something is vital shouldn't be passed over for the slight chance that you'd have more space and therefore more applicants. They need to consider the impact on the students and staff that have children.

This nursery is a vital part of the daily lives of the students and teachers who have their children cared for at jungle cats, to close it would be destructive to all involved including the college.

I feel that it is important to provide childcare for parents to be able to continue with their education. By closing this nursery you are potentially putting parents off. Having on site care is important for parents and children.

So sad that they want to close down such a happy, friendly nursery. I am due to graduate from university in a few months and if Jungle Cats wasn't there when I enrolled at the college, I don't think I would have started the daunting step of going back into education as a mother. The staff welcomed me and my son with open arms and always had lots to say about my son whenever I picked him up. It saddens me to think that other student parents and staff at the college won't be given the opportunity to have their children in the same building as them, looked after by such friendly, professional staff. It will probably stop a lot of adults who have children applying to college and university. A very silly move by South Essex College.

I think they're making a massive mistake closing the nursery look at all the parents who'll be missing out on a education because they've got no where for their children to go. Just to create a small bit of extra space.

The value of nurseries with such impeccable records is priceless. The argument that the college needs to remove the nursery to make way for teaching facilities is ludicrous, short-sighted, naïve and reeks of greed. What is a nursery if not an educational facility? Are the people that work there not on placement as part of their education? Do the single parents that already attend the college not have a right to have their children close by so that the parent may continue/advance their education? Are those making this decision wholly ignorant of the number of people that may have to give up their jobs if this closes to look after their children - waiting lists for nurseries are often 18 months long! So what do those parents do in the interim? To close Jungle Cats would be a statement of pure greed and an insult to the staff and clients. I am appalled.

Please place learner inclusion OVER trying to cram more 'bums on seats.' You will surely lose more students by scrapping the facility than you will gain from the extra space.
