Save Jungle Cats Nursery

This is going to put lots of teachers and students off working and studying at South Essex /University of Essex Southend Campus! !!

There is no need to close the nursery . there is so much wasted space. Atrium area for a start, you could half that area easily. There are not many nursery's in Southend that are rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

I know many of my colleagues have used jungle cats nursery and have said they were excellent in the service and care they provided!

I had work experience there 20 years ago! I can still smell lunch time. You can't have SEEC without Jungle Cats! What will so many students and workers do.

Consider the youngsters.

This is essentially down to the poor decisions made by the architecture firm that provided more style than substance. Jungle Cats serves a great purpose for the community unlike the large open space used for indoor badminton and giant chess board. Hear hear!

We do not want more student's in the library they have a purpose built college across the road leave the nursery alone!!!!

This would mean the great staff would loose their jobs and the staff would loose a fantastic nursery for their children

Too many closures for services which are actually need it... Get conservatives off

Appalling decision. Heed the petition and keep the nursery open.

Why close a nursary staff and students use having your children close on site is a comfort and very convenient.

Shame to close a nursery, which gives parents a chance to learn and better themselves

This would be a sad loss to the College and all the parents who work there. A decision worthy of careful review of true costs and benefits!

Such sad, terrible news. So many staff at both the college and the university and both sets of students and neighbouring families rely on this outstanding nursery. Will be a devastating loss to the community.

It will be a great loss to both the staff and the children, and as a member of staff I often see empty classrooms and can not see how the small area they will gain will provide much teaching area.

The nursery occupies a small space. The space gained would not balance the loss of the nursery. Other options need to be explored. As an ex member of staff I witnessed empty teaching areas on a regular basis. Closing the nursery will mean disruption to staff and cost the college far more in covering staff absence due to childcare issues. I really can't see the benefit of closing this outstanding (Ofsted rated) aspect of the college.

Such sad news to hear! Such a fantastic Nursery with a Great team of dedicated and hard working staff! The children, staff and parents have all got strong bonds and it's such a happy environment! Such sad news to hear to be getting rid of a fantastic nursery!! Save Jungle Cats Nursery!

Terrible decision to even be thinking about closing this nursery - this effects too many people in so many different ways and really needs to be reconsidered

My son attended this nursery whilst I worked at the college - without it I would not have had a job!!

Keep the nursery not fair on all the children and staff!!
