Rates increase by 35% with no improvement in services. Sewer fees increased but we still have to pay to have our drains cleared every six months, burst sewer pipes. City Power went up but we have power outages and loadshedding, our security systems, gate motors and appliances are damaged. Water costs also increased but we have outages for days. Potholes cause damage to our tyres and insurance costs go up AGAIN.
Inexperienced, inept and incompetent mayoral councils drain the fiscus with no idea what they are doing. Not to mention the revolving door on the mayoral offices.

Service delivery is poor and the waiting time if 48-72hours for calls to be assigned needs to be reduced drastically, and this includes weekends.

It is RIDICULOUS that tax paying citizens of this country have to beg and plead for our funds to be properly allocated to maintain OUR areas. Charity (ie township improvement) should be second to those that actually PAY for the non-existent services. City of JOURG you are DISGRACE to all that live here!
