Please help keep Joan's job. I've had the pleasure of meeting her and she's such a kind, helpful woman.

Joan is an amazing person who devotes her time for the students of UHHS. The students rely on her for support and compassion. It's not fair that although she has contributed so much to the students and the community, that she is at risk of losing her job.

Joan is an amazing educator, social worker, and member of the University Heights High School community. Her efforts and continous work has created a safe, supportive, and positive environment that makes students want to come early in the morning before class and stay late after school is dismissed.
Her compassion has made UHHS a leader in community service, putting on events for disadvantaged students in the community, creating awareness for bullying and deadly silence on our day of silence, being a top donator in New York City's penny harvest every years. She teaches young adults to become caring and effective men and women. We are richer to have met Joan and UHHS would be poorer to lose her. Joan is more than a budgetary expense.

Joan has gave a hand to me during my silence in sophomore year. She's a mother figure in our school, and I know many students will be heart broken is she is gone.

Joan deserves her job! She is one of the most genuine, amazing, loyal, trustworthy, supportive and everything else that is good in the world that students have been blessed with in University Heights High School. Students can really come to Joan and get help from her. She is truly dedicated to her job.

The reason University Heights High school is "thriving" is because of Joan. The reason I got my first job and a clinic and have the motivation to get a full scholarship to college is because of her. She provides us with a safe and open space where we not only give to others but we receive things like confidence, self-love, motivation and support. University heights is a collective whole and Joan is one of school leaders in the center of it. She is not a "budget cut", she is not dispensable, or irreplaceable. She is an educator a confident and she is needed.

It is in part due to Joan's great care for the students that I am even still here. With her counseling I was able to cope with family trauma and struggles with my sexuality and religious beliefs. I know the students still need this help. Please keep her at UHHS
