I am in support of Jedediah Hawkins Inn. They are compliant with the rules, which are overly accomodating and respectful to the local community. The Jedediah Hawkins is a part of the community and should be thought of as such.

I fully support the Inn's intention to hold events. The property is vast, and the management is responsible, and feel there could be no chance to disturb the neighborhood. The Inn should be able to hold events in order to keep this beautiful building operational. The alternative to this would be for the Jedediah Hawkins house to fall in disrepair, abandonment, all fall victim to vandals and other miscreants which would certainly have a negative effect on the neightborhood

Jamesport Country Kitchen gone; we don't want to lose the Inn because of unreasonable complaints from a few who do not realize their wishes could/would have a negative impact on life in Jamesport.

I believe the JHI is a wonderful establishment - professionally and courteously operated. A beautifully restored house which only adds value to our wonderful hamlet of Jamesport.

I'm a native of Jamesport and a member of the Jamesport Fire Department. I see no reason why the Hawkins Inn shouldn't hold events just like every other business of their kind on the North Fork, it's a beautiful old building in the heart of where I come from.

The most magnificent building I've been in, in a long time, a jewel in the town of Riverhead. Keep up the good work. The meal was delicious!!

I'm no longer a resident ... but I can claim the house in my heritage, having lived there in my early years. I am still proud to tell people visiting the area that I once lived there. Please preserve history and make this place a memory for many more folks who will benefit from it in the future.

This once was a total eyesore. They have restored a beautiful piece of local history and it is outstanding to look at. I do live in South Jamesport, although not too close to Jedediah Hawkins Inn. With the large property surrounding the Inn it seems an ideal location for large events. With them abiding by the 9:30 curfew it is hard to imagine people are complaining. When we moved here in the year 2000 that building was inhabited by rodents, was only partially boarded up and covered in vines. I would think the neighbors would be grateful to those who created a masterpiece.

I am a Riverhead local and Jamesport resident. Jedidiah Hawkins is a beautiful establishment with amazing food and great events. I've never heard any sort of loud and obnoxious events going on, and have no complaints about the establishment in its entirety. Closing them down would be a huge loss to the community.

I can vouch for their observance of the rules - we shut our daughter's wedding down promptly at 9:00 p.m.

One of my favorite spots on the North Fork!

The north fork relies on tourist friendly locations. People come to enjoy the east end not conform to suburbia

We love everything about Jedediah . We have lived here our whole life ; we live very close to the Inn and welcome the outside venue. Would these so called locals rather see this beautiful Inn as it was in its prior state. It adds value to their homes if anything..
