The cats at Home Hardware Canmore as well as the staff are the only reason I shop there instead of Canadian Tire. Keep the cats or lose a Local.

This is ridiculous. What justification has the complainer claimed for removing the cat? The only excuse I can think of is allergies, but the cat's already been living there for years. Simply removing her won't reduce the allergens - not unless the store gets scrubbed from top to bottom, and who would bother? It's a hardware store!
