Save Jan Spate's Vet Clinic

How disappointing is it to see bureaucratic processes being used in such a relentless manner with just one clear mission. Our taxes would surely be better spent in a manner that helps & promotes our highly valued & respected community members. What happened to appreciating those willing to practice their exceptional skills, & respecting their vast knowledge gained over a lifetime of service. The current generation of local business owners & authorities may be wise to consider the longer term effects of a 'closed shop' mentality before it's too late.

Jan is a great country vet. She genuinely cares about animals and is one of the last to put the animal ahead of money.

Very sad to find that Jan is no longer practising. I found her to be a wonderful vet who gets the job done and doesn't rip people off.

I have known, respected and admired Jan most of my life. She is an inspirational woman.

Appalling! I think it is a deliberate move designed to stop a Vet because she has had more clients than anyone! If they think that I will go to any other Vet in Canberra, they are sadly mistaken! I'm going to Bungendore or Yass instead!

I am appalled by this decision! My dog was dying and she directed me to the other vet in hall as she wasn't close by. We were charged for an ultra sound and to put the dog down, over $400.00 dollars! I wonder which mongrel has decided to force Jan from practice? That cretin with the nurofen overdose only has herself to blame, by not listening to what Jan said in the first place!

Has been my vet for 22years the community need as affordable vet and the time as she is opened suits people that have shift work

Jan has always been an exceptional vet, on call 24 hours for those animals in need. The vet board should take a good look at themselves and ask; who will treat these animals now? How many animals will not be treated and now die? Jan has always put the animals welfare ahead of her own. I don't know of any other vet with her dedication to keeping animals alive and happy.

I worked with Jan in the 80s. I'm also a vet. I learnt a lot from her. She has skills beyond most vets these days.

I have had first hand experience of how greedy Vets are, no concern for the animal all about the money. Jan is the opposite. Kind and compassionate.

I wouldn't have had my animals in any other vets care!!

Jan makes a huge difference to animals that would not get care if she wasn't there.

Highly skilled, and there for animals & the community - she needs to be able to continue. She's been so wonderful and knowledgeable, yielding great outcomes for our pets always.

There is no person more decent, caring, compassionate or generous than Jan Spate. Until she gets back up and running my pets better stay well and fit, because there is NO other vet that I would trust enough to take them to.

ACT vet board are a pack of thugs.
