Jan's been treating my family's animals for over 20 years, and there's no-one we trust more. She is absolutely wonderful.

I feel the Canberra Vetinary Board being run by other vets in Canberra have bullied this most gentle, caring,enthusiast vet Dr Jan Spate into the unfair corner she is in. Wires go to her clinic with injured animals & creatures because they trust and believe in her as we all do..yes she does make keeping a pet affordable and shows love after hours too...in all the years i have known Jan she has never turned away animals but has given advise to go elsewhere if she can't help...i Know i have issue if Jan is únable to practise as a huge number of others would..i am a pensioner with two dogs whom are my ears around my home, one is atopic, Jan Has been a great support on a very regular basis..now what do we do???

I have known Jan for over 20 years and I have rescued many animals from abuse and neglect over the years and without Jan this would not be possible. There were times I was struggling financially but Jan is too passionate about the animals welfare as well as the people she deals with every day to care about money. Jan is one in a million. I had Crookwell vet in NSW make a mess of my dog from surgery and Jan treated her to make her comfortable and recover without further issues. A lot of animals will suffer without Jan because she makes it affordable for people because her heart is in it for the animals welfare.

Best vet around aways given me the best service and animals welfare come first not money i didn't have to worry if i could afford it as i know jan would treat my pet and i could pay it when i could

Jan is an amazing vet who will treat the animal in front of her regardless of the owners financial position, this is extremely rare and greatly valued by many within the Canberra community

I have never met anyone else like jan.
She never hesitates to give her time to anyone with a animal in need. Unlike EVERY other vet. Jan will not squeeze every dime from a client and play on the heart strings for cash! 24 hours a day. Shel give her ALL. You do not need a pretty practice to show you are the best vet in town. Ill never leave jan and biancas side in this fight against selfish vindictive vet board. Disgusting what they are doing to jan. Nothing but praise for Jan. From Amberling stud!

Closing Jan Spate down is a big loss for the animals in this region. Shame on whoever is involved in the closure! I hope you sleep at night with a clear conscience.

Such sad news as Jan honestly is an amazing vet. Have had many animals,dogs,cats horses and cows treated by her and never had a problem. I feel she is truly a vet for the love of the animal and no other reason.

Jan has been a great vet to all our dogs. Saved the life of one recently that she didn't think had a chance. Her fees are amazing for such great work.

Jan spate is the only local vet who will treat and care for all animals no matter what. I have taken various species of snakes and reptiles to Jan over the years for a comprehensive, safe and cheap method where as other vets didn't want anything to do them with them. We now take all our animals to Jan and couldn't imagine it without Jan in their lives. I couldn't count the number of times i will be forever thankful to Jan Spate and her work!!! She is a god sent to the hall and surrounding area community!

I have attended Jan Spates Vet Clinic for many years.
She is a incredibly talented Vet and dedicated to the welfare of all animals and all types of people. Especially the elderly, particularly those that have no friends but only there beloved animals.
Why is there so much secrecy from the ACT Vet Board, for not releasing details of these so call complaints.
The decision by the ACT Vet Board is totally unjustified on all fronts.
Please give Jan as much support as possible and attend the fund raising functions to help her. She has given enormously to the community and it is know our requirement to give back to her.
