The conditions of the original planning permission should be upheld otherwise what is the point of having a Planning Authority

I am signing because I think we as a community need to support our local shops in Ivybridge. I also think that the council should strongly consider offering more free parking to encourage shoppers, and that the rents or T&Cs in Glanvilles Mill must be amiss as the turnover of businesses in there is sadly frequent.

Being a ivybridge resident, I strongly agree to this petition due to the Ivybridge high street struggling enough as it is. It does not need more competition.

Surely if the ridiculous rents at Glanville mill was looked into the community would have a chance to grow with new businesses to encourage local shopping and spending. The village , in my opinion is very out of date for a modern young growing community and the shop owners and property owners need to look at what is needed to make Ivybridge a viable community shopping centre. Blame is not always the way facing out completion with new initiative and ideas is just as productive

it is so important to support Ivybridge town in any way we can .... We need businesses in the town NOT out of town .... Garden centres should be just THAT !

Sign your petitions but more importantly-look to the shops already in the town and the precinct,to buy your products and services rather than driving to the nearest supermarket or large out of town store.the more you use them,the more they will be able to offer you. Large businesses like endsleigh would not consider expanding if they felt there was not a market for it-show them there isn't by keeping business where it should be-in the heart of a village,with the people you know and trust.

We need to protect our small independent shop keepers. There are plenty of empty shops in the cities and larger towns for occupation by these multiple stores

You only have to look around Ivybridge to see that small businesses are already struggling to cope with the big stores like Endsleigh and Tesco. So much of Glandville's Mill is sitting empty, because the lovely little shops that inhabbited it have been over taken by the "everything can be found in one place if we go to a big store" mentality
