I believe that the proposal to expand retail offerings by endsleigh will be in direct competition with ivybridge town and will have a significant impact on businesses in ivybridge. This will reduce diversity, cause loss of trade to the town and promulgate a decline. In order to sustain a small thriving town there needs to be balance with no dominating factors.

Although I agree with this, it also needs the local residents to use their town. The fantastic Award-Winning Ivybridge Fish shop closed down because not enough people supported them. The fruit & veg shop closed down. Ivybridge needs us to be walking down the street regularly buying our goods from there rather than migrating towards places like Endsleigh and Tesco Lee Mill.

I would always support Ivybridge before Endsleigh although I work there. I do believe that fairer rents for Glanvilles mill would make a huge difference to the life and viability of the town.

I live in Crediton which is 40 miles away but I bought my Wedding Dress from Aprodite Brides, and all the flooring for our house from Western Carpets and Pine. Please save the town!

Ivybridge is becoming a town full of charity shops. Endsleigh should stick to selling plants. Parking needs to FREE in the town to compete

Ivybridge Town Centre could be a thriving town - it needs all the support it can get. I would love it to offer lots of free parking to encourage people to visit.

Ivybridge desperately needs small independent shops. I know of several people wanting to open their own shops but greedy rents & rates hinders this.

Ivybridge town centre does suffer from having Tesco & Endsleigh so close. But also from the fact that they offer free parking.

It is important to support small local business in any way we can. Ivybridge suffers from having both Endsleigh and Tescos so close. I only use Endsleigh for gardening things - which is what it should be selling, not the rest....

Fully agree. We should prioritise our town centre & use it before it's gone. End sleigh employs locally & it has its place, but it's not locally owned anymore & we need to encourage local business.
