It is of vital importance for local towns up and down the UK, particularly those in relatively isolated areas and population where any remaining local shops entirely rely on their immediate neighbouring residents for their income to be able to preserve the local service provided by their High Street shops. This applies particularly still for those without transport either through seniority and/or disablement. Any local council which fails to try to preserve this amenity for the local town they represent is failing their electorate and therefore this application must be rejected.

ivybridge is a lovely place to live. We want to keep our local shops which offer a unique shopping experience for locals and visitors alike. We should support to local businesses who strive to offer a warm and friendly atmosphere to their customers. We do not want to see the town dying on its feet.

Just when there is some joined up thinking in Ivybridge over the town centre plans we get this unwanted development which severely damage those plans. If we are to be more than a dormitory drive to work town we need to back the councils plans for growth in the town. That road junction is bad enough now, more traffic will cause the same problems and accidents as when the site was accessed directly off the A38. Show some backbone and reject this change for the towns sake.

We need to keep our Town vibrate and in doing this we need to use the shops. Most of us can easily get to our shops, if they were to close, could you easily get to Endsleigh, no you couldn't.

Ivybridge town centre struggles enough with woefully inadequate shopping options. It needs every bit of help to survive and actually requires a greater range of shops instead of having an embarrassing lack of variety. This proposal will further damage its already frail appeal!
