I am writing this petition to try to save the Ironbound Catholic school, my kids used to go to a public school and the education that kids received in public school are very poor. My kids were sad upset had bad grades and also got bully and I wasn’t happy. when we find out of the Ironbound Catholic School and we transfer my kids they were Super happy and excited they cry of happiness and they ask me and my wife they beg us not to take them out of the Ironbound Catholic School. My kids been at the Ironbound Catholic School for 3 years now and I never seen them so happy so excited to go to school and learn and get educated. And now just to find out that the school is closing my kids are sad worry crying and begging bus not to send them back to a public school. I understand what’s going on with this pandemic situation, but in my opinion is not fair for my kids and the rest of the kids to have the school shut down there should be a way to keep the school open. I am sure there can be other ways to try to keep the school open and not closed but because it’s the only Catholic school in Newark and the City needs the school because many parents are happy to have their children get educated the right ways without any issues that most kids goes through when they are at public school. I honestly can say that I love my kids and I care about them and I would do anything to keep them happy and make sure they get educated in Ironbound Catholic School if I have to work 3 or 4 or 5 jobs I will do it just to put a smile bon my kids face and to see them happy. Please please please I beg you keep the school open the city of Newark need the Ironbound Catholic School open and also the parents and kids we need to keep the school open for the safety and better education and to learn good manners. I hope and I pray that the Ironbound Catholic School stay open for my kids and the rest of the kids. Thank you stay safe, God Bless Everyone.

This school has helped nurture so many young children and it created a beautiful community in doing so. My daughter graduated from there and I saw how happy she was. The environment was warm, the faculty and staff were hardworking, and the list goes on and on. It taught disciple and the importance of religion. The school encouraged students to work their hardest to reach their goals. It would be a shame to have such a significant place shut its doors. It has helped so many people and ICA’s mission is far from being completed. It’s not fair for the kids and staff for the school’s to close abruptly like this. We need to save this school!

Saint Casimir Community is the heart of Ironbound community. Our kids learn all aspects of life such as the importance of praying in communities, working individually and in group, and learning the importance of family and friendship.
In addition, the school has proven to be a breeding ground for great scholars.
It would be a terrible mistake to close such a great school with great teachers.

Please reconsider and keep ICA open. My son had the opportunity to attend from PreK to 8th grade. It was our great pleasure as parents to see him love to go to school everyday and come home happy and enthusiasticly talking about what he was learning in school. A great school that should be kept open.
