Mr. Silver, It was brought to my attention yesterday that Sutton Tennis might be shut down. I am writing to express how deep disappointing that would be. Tennis is a family sport and I personally use the facility twice a week, sometimes more. My children and husband also frequent the bubble. It is always filled with people of all ages enjoying the sport. As you know living in NYC these type of facilities are very hard to come by, Sutton Tennis is a fantastic facility for ALL AGES to enjoy the sport throughout the fall, winter, and spring months. It would be a great tragedy if we, new yorkers, lose such a great place. I have reached out to many men and women and they echo my sentiments, I hope they contact you as well. Thanks for taking the time to read this and please do not shut down Sutton tennis. Sincerely, Gretchen Englander (AVID tennis player) gretchen b. englander

This is a terrific club and one of the very few remaining in and near the City. Tennis is great exercise and more social than most forms of exercise in this City. We do clinics at Sutton East. Our children take lessons there. It is nowhere near where I live, yet I am willing to travel to get there. This is oartyly because there is nowhere else to play. Please don't take away this terrific club, and along with it my winter exercise.

New York City needs all the tennis courts that are currently in place. More families are living in Manhattan then ever before. We want our children and adults to be active and not just watch television or play video games. Ths is for the health of our city.

The Queensboro Bridge tennis courts occupy a highly appropriate physical space in the city, and should remain available to its citizens for their enjoyment and development.
