Save indoor tennis in Manhattan now before it is too late!!!

Excellent plan to save the space for indoor tennis at a reasonable cost.

Tell the CB8 people to build their $26 million per acre park across the street at Andrew Haswell Green Park. They already have the money from Memorial Sloan Kettering as part of the 73rd St. Sanitation Garage property text amendment deal. No fair taking the bubble away when the area will indeed lie fallow and/or filthy -- not good for anyone's kids. Why not leave the bubble up all year and offer free tennis clinics in off hours -- or other sports, esp. summer -- in the space to sweeten the deal?

Please let the tennis courts stay. It's a great use of the space. I can't imagine a park there -- it's too noisy and the air is terrible from all the traffic. Tennis is a life-long sport, great for all ages. Do I wish the court time was cheaper? Of course. But overall I am so glad there is an indoor tennis option in Midtown East.

I agree w/ a lot of the tennis players at Sutton East. Putting up the bubble during the cold months makes good use of a dirty, noisy space. And it also helps to keep the cost of playing tennis in NYC from getting even more costly.

An invaluable space for tennis players, young and old, from all around NYC. This space, when not covered by the bubble, is ill-used and ill-kept. Sutton East Tennis is a for-profit entity, yes, but it provides not only a resource to those who want to play tennis year-round (both adults and through school programs), but it also provides a revenue stream to the City.

This is an important athletic resource for the community also a decent revenue source for the City!

This is a very important facility for Mahattan and serves many young people and adults. A permanent park in its place during the cold months of the year would not serve as many people.

My daughter has been playing tennis at Sutton East for close to a decade. She absolutely loves it and has formed many great friendships and developed a love of tennis. Please keep Sutton East Tennis open!

The Sutton East courts are a beloved community hub. They are a priceless refuge from New York's winters bringing people and families together to enjoy one of the healthiest sports on planet earth. I see absolutely NO reason to destroy such a beautiful thing.

Please reserve this much needed facility. In a city where it's cold most of the year, indoor tennis is a great boon, particularly for those who can't afford country clubs.

It is so important to keep this facility opened on sutton. This neighborhood caters to many people but also active seniors. Who needs a park. ? There is one about 3 blocks away. Tennis is a safe friendly game for all ages and all degrees of athletic ability

It would be a shame to loose the tennis facility under the 59th Street bridge. Also local businesses would loose since they'd no longer be serving the hundreds of people the tennis facility brings to this area every day. Keep the tennis facility as it is. John

Sutton Tennis is not only a wonderful educational hub, but also a community one. The instructors teach students how to be more accepting of others' differences all while being incredibly supportive. Keep Sutton where it is!

I love playing tennis at this wonderful indoor facility and would be sad to see it destroyed.
