Keep the courts so that something in NYC stays affordable and available.

Sutton is a recreational facility for people of all ages - you routinely see people from 5 to 75 years old playing here. Given the density of residential and commercial development in the area, any place where people can go to exercise, learn new skills is invaluable. This is a test of what we really value in this city. Please save this club.

This is such a rare and unique facility in Manhattan. This amount of space will never again exist. Let us keep enjoying what we love, and let the younger generations have the chance to play as well.

My kids participate in a class that has taught them tennis at a very affordable price.

Tennis is an extremely expensive sport to learn and have access to in Manhattan, New York City. Not many of us can afford to join a private club with expensive fees. It would be a disgrace to the citizens of Manhattan to get rid of this space in favor of what? more retail space that is not thriving all ready in the upper east side area! The pros who work and depend on this space for their livelihood deserve more from the government of New York City and frankly, the citizens of Manhattan deserve more from their expensive tax dollars they put into the coffers of New York City government! Families and individuals need this gem of a space for recreation and fun! Please keep this affordable space up and running for all the tennis lovers in Manhattan!

I would like play to continue at the Sutton East Tennis Club beyond the end of August of this year. The club is a strong resource for players of all ages in Manhattan.

Accessibility to recreational facilities is vital to any thriving community. Sutton East closing would be yet another scar on the face of NYC.

This tennis facility has allowed me to socialize and exercise in a city where space is not easy to come by. This facility allows people of all ages to play tennis and without it the sport would become extremely exclusive and expensive! KEEP SUTTON EAST RUNNING

Please keep these courts! You take all the money from the US Open every year and you do nothing to improve the tennis scene for recreational players. We pay so much in taxes - year round tennis, something healthy for all, is something NYC needs to keep.

We must protect the safe places in NYC where our children can go out to play!

When it is raining or snowing outside, your tennis match/practice can continue at Sutton East. Please don’t close these tennis courts! The tennis community at Sutton East has been so important to me since I moved to NYC. This facility provides so much more than a place to play tennis, it’s also an important community for me and so many other NYC residents.

My children and many others learned to play tennis here with their friends. It is one of the few easily accessible, open to all alternatives to just open park space. Another open park space rained on by traffic dust and debris from above or more shops for profit, will not serve the community or our city.

Please save Sutton tennis. It is a hidden gem and gives New Yorkers a place to escape and relax and enjoy activity. There are very few places in Manhattan to be active.
