A swim team is one of the main reasons a YMCA has a swimming pool with roped off lanes. The YMCA itself has been a center for healthy community life for generations. A swim team is perfectly in line with its mission. Please save the swim team at the Northampton YMCA!

Strengthening healthy, active youth. Building young leaders of character. Setting and surpassing laudable goals. Striving for personal excellence in a team environment. A community sport kids can walk and bike to. Why NOT have a swim team? Why not SUPPORT our swim team?

As a member of the YMCA and a lap swimmer, I sometimes feel the inconvenience of the swim team's use of lanes. However, this is such an important program, that I view it as a community service and encourage the Y and its board and members to continue supporting the team in the spirit of building a stronger community.
This team was very important to my sister-in-law and niece.

I know so many people in this community who love and depend on the Dolphins Swim Team. It has been one of the most inspiring programs at the YMCA. Please continue it.
