Lacrosse is a sport that not only exemplifies the qualities that Houghton preaches for its students, but it honors hundreds upon hundreds of years of indigenous history associated with the game. While COVID may have hurt the college financially in some ways, eliminating a sport with a low-cost (goals, new helmets/uniforms every 5 years) to make room for a sport with NO cost is foolish. Just add esports and bowling, and keep lacrosse. Ending students’ favorite past-time to save a quick buck is unconscionable
