The Town Hall is a magnificant asset that could be the artistic and creative heart of Crouch End if transferred to community ownership. Please make this happen!

Hi - I live on Hatherley Gardens and the way the council have completely ignored the local residents' views consistently is a disgrace. The council is only interested in the cash and has no thought out plan for the town hall.

Please could you keep this building for the community - recent events there have shown how it could be brought back into use.

As the Treasurer of the Crouch End Players It is essential that the Town Hall is transferred to community ownership. The group has been going since 2009 and only this year have we been able to use the Town Hall for our productions, which is a disgrace. The facilities that it offers is perfect for us as a multi use venue, something that we have struggled with over the years.

This needs to be kept for the community, not for profit - and certainly not for more luxury apartments.

This is a huge community and cultural asset and so nicely connected to a local library and high street....!!!!! A great opportunity for a public realm, community, education and training, and cultural project. We need spaces to interact with people and build people skills...we are getting less and less opportunities for this with today's digital and economic way of living.

Haringey Council, this is a significant cultural asset for place and people that must not be squandered.

Leave our town hall to us, the residents, you greedy greedy pigs

This building has been an almost forgotten gem for too long which was once designed to bring the community together. We should protect both its beauty and purpose by encouraging a new synergy between the place and the people.

Haringey has done nothing about the Town Hall since we moved to Crouch End 35 years ago. It is a disgrace and should now be handed over to the community.

This building is historic, it is a beautiful example of 1930s architecture and must not be allowed to become yet another block of flats. It is stunning, the interior is beautiful and the theatre is still intact. Pity Mountview weren't able to move in, that would have been perfect for them and for Haringey

This venue is irreplaceable. And it's ours.
How dare the council try to sell it off to resolve their mis-management of their budget.

With this much support from the community, and with so many people prepared to give their time and use the place, it seems to me plain wrong to let that go to waste.

This building needs to serve the community, like it was designed to do.

The way that Hornsey town hall is being used by members of our community right now is inspiring. Take a look and get some ideas for how to take this forward.

Built with public money, it has been at the centre of Crouch End life for 80 years - selling it is not only immoral, but a sign of the unfitness of the L.A to be trusted or respected by the community.

Let's hope the Council listens for a change!
