Kids learn many things through caring for animals. Compassion ,responsibility , are among the many things that are ingrained in the soul through this type of program

The animals are very important to me, but on top of that, HMS is there home! It's also scientifically proven that humans can give covid-19 to SOME animals, but they cannot spread it to humans. The animals will not harm anyone. They're part of the Montessori tradition and culture.

I might be wrong but I think we can spread covid to animals, but they can't spread it to us. Also we cannot mistreat animals and take them away from their home because they might be sick!

The chickens and goats have been such a special part of my daughter's education at HMS. I'm so grateful that she could experience one of the wonderful fundamentals of the Montessori Way... Learning and growing through taking care of animals!
