Something needs to be done to protect this beautiful listed bridge

This ancient bridge is our Salibury heritage and lorries must be prevented from using it, and the only way to do this is to make it physically immpossible for them to use it by narrowing the approach road so that they cannot get through.

This is one of many bridges in Salisbury that are treated with contempt by Wiltshire Council. Salisbury needs its people to shout very loudly indeed about the ongoing failures to protect our historic city.

Apparently my name with an apostrophe is not allowed. Pffft.

If vehicles of that weight are using it often then its the damage being caused out of site that may lead to more important problems. Quite sure the council have a system in place to check the structure of the arches, which builders certainly knew how to build well in the 16c. However, it might be a little ambitious asking them to regularly carry supplies to our new 21c arches.

Agreed whole heartedly, beautiful bridge being ruined on a regular basis.

Lived in Salisbury all my life and have walked over the bridge at least once a week for last 39 years, can't imagine the area without it.

Heavy traffic should never have been allowed to use this road , It's because of the Southampton Rd,jams which are terrible all the time .

It can be easily fixed by rad narrowing either side of the bridge
