Save Historic Milford Mill Bridge

Please save he bridge

I live nearby in St John's Close and am fed up with the careless way most drivers use the bridge.

Although I am thousands of miles away, this bridge is dear to my heart. I would cross almost ever day to and from school as a child. I learned to fish from its wall crevices and wade beneath it. I hope it can be saved.

The bridge should be restricted to residents, pedestrians and cyclists only with exceptions for deliveries and refuse collection.

Please stop the hgvs using this bridge to prevent further damage to this historical site

This grade 1 listed bridge needs to be protected as a part of Salisbury medieval heritage.Wiltshire Council unfortunately ignore historical values over moving traffic around,even on unsuitable roads.This road should never have been opened to the present day traffic volume which was a result of the opening of the park and ride at Petersfinger.The constant damage to the bridge is as a result of heavy traffic use as well as HGV'S.Before the park and ride was opened there were many walkers and cyclists in this area walking over and even sitting on the bridge ,sadly not so nowadays.

Wiltshire Council have been ignoring the obvious damage caused to this historic bridge by the sheer volume of traffic and the size of some of the HGVs. It is time they did something positive to protect our heritage before irreversible damage is caused.

Something needs to be done urgently as Milford Mill Road has become a rat run for lorries as well as cars now with the help of satnavs.

Absolutely save this beautiful historic medieval bridge.

We really have to protect our past... we’re so fortunate to live in an area so rich with history.

Please keep our heritage.

Restrictions should have been in place already. The bridge needs protecting at all costs.

The lorries need stopping from using that route at entrances to Laverstock on the A30.
