I attended high school here in the 80s and would be terribly sad to see it gone — the Hudson in which I grew up deserves to be preserved as best as possible.

I went to that school for half of my years at Hudson. It's bad enough the front steps were removed but it is a travesty to tear down such a beautiful building.

Class of 74. My homeroom and so many of my classes were in this front section of the building. 4 years later the entire Senior class stood on the front lawn as the photographers yelled "say cheese" from the rooftop as we all looked up. 292 of us - the largest graduating class in Hudson's history, and many of us still have that photo and all those memories. My sister and 2 brothers later graduated from this school, and 1 still works there every school day..
I've seen how other cities like Cuyahoga Falls turn their schools into great community learning centers and I know we can do it too. A Center for the Arts, an adult learning center, meeting areas for youth groups like scouts, community groups, rehearsal rooms for music and theatre - so many ways to enrich and give back to Hudsonites!

As a historic preservationist, now living in the origins of the CT Western Reserve, I have seen many visionary repurposings of beautiful and historic school buildings. They are easily transformed to senior housing, affordable housing for those down-sizing or young professionals. The building can accommodate retail and in-house dining. It already hadexercise areas and communal space. The downtown location encourages walking. Dear Hudson - find a creative and progressive way to adaptively- reuse the high school I graduated from in 1971!

Why would this beautiful building my be preserved ? It is a shame Hudson City doesn't take care of Hudson Village as we used to. Part of the preservation is what makes the town unique and beautiful. Don't outgrow yourselves at the expense of the city

I strongly urge the BOE to retain the irreplaceable and beautiful facade of the historic middle school. The school is an integral piece of Hudson's glorious past and of its admired streetscape today. Please do not make a regrettable mistake. Thank you!

I strongly oppose any plan proposing the demolition of the 1927 portion of the historic Hudson Middle School. This school building is a significant structure and Is an important component in the overall aesthetic of our community.

The cost to restore far outweighs bringing it down and rebuilding. This is a huge part of Hudson Township.. Apparently not Hudson City

My Great Grandfather Albert Foster was superintendent and oversaw the building of the school. My brother, sister and I all went K-12 through the Hudson schools and would like to see the school preserved.
