My family's new building is right across the street from where the county wants to put the corrections/parole building. My family has worked so hard on their building and their vision for the future of the building is beautiful. I don't want anything to hurt their business and this correction/parole facility would hurt them. Please move your building away from downtown. Maybe put it where the county court is already located, but far away from family businesses.

Where is the common sense in our city? We have positive growth in our downtown with new businesses that will draw people in and revitalize this area. Then we have those with a "top secret" agenda to bring in an organization that will make people think twice about coming downtown. It's quite pathetic that we have people in our community so willing to throw all that effort under the buss just to make a buck.

I just moved here to Fremont and I love the downtown area. Would hate to have that police correction office right there.

I would like to encourage that another location be selected instead of downtown, an area finally starting to grow and shine again

Our downtown is finally growing with a new church, Sycamore, FNB, Don Peterson, wine store, new eateries and lots of new people. Dropping a correction facility with the drug & sex offenders as it's client's doesn't speak well for the city fathers wish to grow the city. What is the judicial building on Broad Street being used for? It no longer houses inmates - isn't that an ideal place for this operation?

Our city and civic leaders are failing the citizens of Fremont. Allowing the sale and occupation of this building for this purpose adds zero value - in fact it adds negative value - to the future of Fremont and the positive evolution of our historic downtown. Our City Leaders need to take a stand and stop this from occurring.

Absolutely NO for putting anything jail like downtown Fremont. It will ruin the integrity of the historic district!

From a small business owners aspect I know how vital it is to have the correct environment and neighbors to make yourself successful. The county is looking at this from a financial decision and not from the economical hardship it may put on the business owners already in place.

OMG. Why does Fremont keep voting for ridiculous things. MAKE OUR CITY BETTER...it seems like we are trying to flush it down the toilet or something.

In order to allow fremonts historic downtown to grow I believe we need to prohibit a government agency from being in the downtown district. Especially where convicted offenders would frequent. Please stop this motion. Keep Historic Fremont Downtown Family (kid) Friendly!

Why is that Fremont city officials consistently choose to "get one by" on its own citizens in order to shove their own agenda through?

This is a horrible location for that kind of use.
