Can you imagine something like this going in the heart of the Old Market or Hay Market in Lincoln?? I know what it is to have real estate sit empty so I do sympathize but, for Gods sake, a drug court??? We can and should do better.

Downtown business is not the place to hold that type of facility. I sincerely think of it as innapropriate and an imperfect blend for this particular area. Please consider a different location.

I don't mind them having the office down town, I know they need a bigger office. I don't like this building as a choice.

I share the sentiments of The Creative Collective who is trying to improve Historic Downtown...why in the WORLD would Fremont officials take such a step back.

We need retail commerce NOT more offices.

This building has more potential than this, there is the building attached to the courthouse which could be utilized for such a purpose. I have always thought that building would be a great space for a children's museum, or shops, restaurant, condos etc...

We definitely don't need this downtown. We should put this out by the hospital. Why not by the hospital? That makes so much more sense. Right on 23rd and the hospital makes so much more money! Unless this is another case of "Money Talks" and the hospital is able to shew this away from them.

A move like this would not only hinder new businesses from moving in but also ruin the family culture Fremont has worked so hard to cultivate!

Does anyone remember when the Church bought the Dime Store Days building on 6th Street? Schweser's tried everything possible to foil the sale. At that time they said if Fremont doesn't stop putting offices in Retail space it will kill the downtown. Now to put Probation Offices from 4 Counties in Schweser's building? How can people not know that this will be terrible for downtown. Just another nail in the coffin for survival of downtown businesses.

This is completely contrary to what is being envisioned all throughout downtown & especially detrimental to the growth that has happened in the last several years across the street & diagonally. How about a nice shop, retailer, social hall or art/theatre venue instead.
