I grew up in the neighborhood. I went to Holiday Hill. My youngest son also attended Holiday Hill. It is a great school and it would be a shame for it to be shut down.

I had four children that went to this school also a nephew and a grandson I still live in the neighborhood and love that we have this great school in the neighborhood. I tell all my friends about this great neighborhood

Holiday Hill Elementary has been PARAMOUNT for many generations of children growing up in the Grove Park, Holiday Hill and Glynlea area. Including myself, my 5 children have all gone thru Holiday Hill, and it would be such a devastating loss to the community if it were closed. Small, centrally located elementary schools are critical to the establishment of community values. PLEASE find out why the DCPS enrollments have dropped, and place your focus there, instead of creating more damages to our youth.

I have lived here in this neighborhood for 37 years my children my grand children have gone to the school. My daughter worked in the special ed wing, and I volunteered all the years of my children’s time in the school for a neighborhood that has brought us all together with this amazing teachers students parents, striving and working hard to keep our community and school intact. The school has pretty much been in A school and the teachers above all have strived to teach our children the best that they have. Our children are able to walk to school ride. Our bikes to school for a community is a great community and the school pulls us all together. Not sure why the reasoning is taking the school away from us. There’s a charter school here which is not good and to lose our children to that compared to the holiday hill, elementary school would be, a great loss for our children our families and our community so please reconsider on taking Holiday Hill away from this community. Thank you.

This was my childhood school as well as my father’s, I want my kids to be able to go here as well and also all the teachers working here will be out of a job and a loving home of holiday hill !

This gem of a school has been the heart and soul of the family-oriented neighborhood of Grove Park & Glynlea for over 50 years. Families of multiple generations have called Holiday Hill Elementary School "home" and we all hold this school close to our hearts. Please, please, please don't take away one of the best elementary schools ever.
