Save Holiday Hill Elementary

All three kids in our family attended Holiday Hill ! Great neighborhood school! It would be a Great loss for our neighborhood : (

We live in the neighborhood and our 5 year old starts kindergarten in the fall and was excited for him to go to the school at Holiday Hill We actually turned down a RSCA charter school to go to Holiday Hill Elementary

More and more young families are moving into our neighborhood. This school and its staff are a very important part of our neighborhood.

I went to holiday hill elementary from 82 to 88 and it was an awesome experience and had some of the best teachers ive ever had. This school should not be shut down, it serves a very large area.

Protect our public schools!

I went to this school the first year they had a kindergarten back in 1971 or 72. The is a wonderful school and would be a Disgrace to see it closed

this school means so much to these children and has been a second home to everyone in this neighborhood as we all have attended and our children have attended it’s a staple of o this community

Save hoilday hill elementary. It is amazing school with amazing teachers and stuff.

I have heard of the pending proposal to shut down Holiday Hill Elementary school. This would be a critical mistake and devastating to past generations and generations to come around the Southside area of Jacksonville. The dictionary defines exemplary as " serving as a desirable model; representing the best of its kind." I would define exemplary as Holiday Hill Elementary school. My oldest son moved to Holiday Hill his second grade school year after many great compliments we heard from friends and parents of this wonderful school. He was struggling mightily with behavior and academics at his previous school. Fast forward to his 5th grade year, he is a patrol making straight A's and models exemplary behavior. This is a testament to the school's Principal Mr. Peterson and his incredible staff within this school and their Leadership magnet/gifted programs. My wife and I now have another son in Kindergarten, to rob him and so many other children of the incredible experience that Holiday Hill Elementary offers would again be devastating and flat out unacceptable. This message comes from a parent who has had a child in another school in this area, the experience and education/lessons offered at other schools are NOT one and the same. I cannot stress enough the impact Holiday Hill Elementary has had on my family and thousands of others in this area.

As a former student of Holiday Hill Elementary School, it would be a great disservice to the community to close this beloved school.

Love this school. The principal and teachers are awesome!

My daughter went to this school and grew up in the Grove Park/ Glynlea community. She loves the school and the teachers and I knew she was learning something everyday from the staff at HHE...closing this school would be detrimental to the students, staff, and community as a whole.

With all of the mental health issues in our youth a small community school can be an answer.

This is one of the best schools in Jacksonville! Please don’t close our school!

I went to HHE when it was the Bumblebee’s. You a not take our childhood away from us.

This amazing school needs to remain open.
