We need those "emergency" conveniences for the Mums (kids caught short), the elderly (caught short) and delivery drivers.. Public toilets play a role in community health and individual well-being. Where toilets are available, people can enjoy outings and physical activities in their communities. By letting people get out of their cars and onto their feet, bicycles and mass transit, public toilets can contribute to improved environmental health. Public Toilets were devised hundreds of years ago to stem disease. Why do Councils want to shut every service we expect them to provide?

I have lived in Haslemere for the past 35 years and this has to be one of the most short sighted and quite frankly 'anti social' proposals I can recall during that period. This must surely be reconsidered and if Waverley are really serious then such a plan must be reversed.

Please reconsider the closure of the in the car park. They have been a lifeline on a number of occasions especially for older people who need to use the facilities more often!! With the introduction of increased car parking charges the council should be looking for more facilities not less.
