Outrageous to even consider closing public toilets.

As a sufferer of Crohn's disease, access to public toilets is a priority for me when going out. With 300,000 people in the UK suffering from Crohn's disease or Ulcerative Colitis, I am sure there are many visitors to Haslemere who fall into this statistic and closing these toilets would be detrimental to their needs.

These toilets are a lifesaver for me. I have a bladder condition which means I can come into town without worrying about where to "go".

Every town should have public toilets. There are our last, so they need to stay or alternative ones be made available

It would be a shameful slur on the reputation of this town were we to allow the public toilets to be closed. Visitors, workmen, delivery drivers, , bus drivers and passengers use and need them. How dare Waverley BC be so unthinking and irresponsible!

Haslemere used to be such a lovely town with woolworths and Nobbs, but now it's a town with coffee shops and restaurants. So why have the council think it's a good idea to close the only public toilets in Haslemere, where are people ment to go if they need to go ( coffee shops and restaurants don't have to let non customers use there loos) . Are people expected to go to the doctors loo outside, I don't see this go down very well.

I would suggest that the decision makers are out of touch with the real world of Haslemere - many of us of a certain age need to use a toilet unexpectedly or during a trip out and don't wish to buy a coffee from the local establishmentrs in order to use their toilets instead!!

In this day and age it seems crazy to think anyone would consider closing such a crucial public facility. These toilets are admittedly pretty shameful hygiene wise, but are nonetheless very necessary. Have the council deliberately neglected them with this plan in mind? It now seems very likely!

We. Are supposed to be the fifth richest nation and yet we cannot afford something as essential as a public lavatory. It is an absolute disgrace that they might be closed.

As Waitrose, the only large shop in the town centre, has no public facilities, these public toilets are essential
