Being elderly and regularly shopping in haslemere the toilets are a must facility for me and no doubt others.

I use this with my young children on a regular basis. There are no other public toilets available in Haslemere if a youngster is caught short.

Public Toilets are a necessity in a Town the size of Haslemere, for both young and old. We have already lost The Police Station, Banks, possibly the Post Office and now the Toilets are due for closure.
Is this the right encouragement to attract Retailers and Visitors to the town?

It would be a travesty to close the toilets they are an essential service for Haslemere. Waverely are out of touch with what the Haslemere residents want and need. How dare they decide on our behalf what we want. Haslemere Town Council are the right people to decide.

Public toilets remain an essential amenity to encourage the widest possible range of visitors to Haslemere. Closure negatively impacts on those who park in the town to provide a base for their walk, run or cycle though the surrounding countryside recognising that the high street venue provides convenient access. The toilets are well used by our bus drivers who keep our communities connected - whether they be school children meeting their organised transport in the High Street car park or those using commercial services from the Lower Street/Shepherds Hill stop. We are already seeing the impact of shop closures in Haslemere - do not further compound the challenges by removing this essential public amenity.

These toilets are well used and it's a mark of a civilised place to provide them. More parking spaces are not needed, although this is only a justification for saving the money a difficult task for the council. If private commercial establishments are to be asked to provide theirs to the general public then they should be compensated by reduced business rates.
