As a parent, it's been a blessing to have these facilities, I have used these many times.

It is totally unacceptable for a town the size of Haslemere not to have public toilets. Older residents may feel less able to visit the shops. And we don't want people urinating in the streets.

My wife alerted me to this petition after signing it yesterday. We are in the process of moving to Haslemere and as a disabled person this greatly affects me. Maybe Waverley Borough Council should have their toilets closed for a few weeks to see how they manage ? The richest councils and Governments can create a 'budget deficit' and an impression of poverty . People should be studying their actual income and not merely what they have ' aollcated' as a budget to run things !

It's disgusting that this is even being considered. Then there is uproar when people are being caught short and start peeing in public !! My husband is disabled and needs access to these facilities.

This is a ridiculous proposal. it seems to be purely a cost cutting exercise as the amount of new parking space generated will be minimal.

This is absolutely ridiculous, unless Waverly negotiate with Waitrose and secure customer toilet facilities , after all Tesco provide customer toilet facilities!

As a grateful user from time to time, I find the lack of realism in this day and age shown by Waverley Council is staggering. Try an admission charge ? This might even improve matters !

Oh Dear. I thought this was a necessity if they want people to shop in the town oh just remembered they don't bring in any money to the council and they actually cost money

Although from Petersfield I do like to regularly visit Haslemere for its diverse shopping but I feel if I had to beg for the convenience of pubs and restaurants if the public toilets were closed (especially with young children), unfortunately I feel Haslemere would no longer be somewhere I visit.

I am a Parkinsons victim, and closure of public toilets will mean I can no longer visit Haslemere. Going back to the dark ages !

These facilities are essential. As a carer my client often needs to use these facilities when shopping in the town.

If people have children, were are they supposed to take them for the toilet. Also my dad is a older man and needs the toilet quite often that's why we shop at Haslemere take the toilets away we stop shopping there

This is a NECESSARY civic amenity. It should NOT be closed. The Local Authority has the responsibility that such an amenity is MAINTAINED,.... and NOT disposed of. Quite simple really.
