Haslemere is a thriving town and I love the diversity of shops there. If the Post Office goes it would leave a huge hole. It is one of the reasons that takes me into Haslemere.

The post office stands at the very core of an economy. Try to send a parcel to a country without a stable post office. South Africa, Argentina... The economy corelates to the efficiency of their national post office. When one cannot send goods efficiently, the country ceases to exist

It's bad enough that the post office at the other end of the town has gone - but a twin like Haslemere without one is inconceivable .

For a town not to have a post office, particularly when the post offices in the surrounding villages have been shut down on the stated basis that people can use the one in the nearby town, is clearly ridiculous. Haslemere needs a post office not only for its residents, but for those in surrounding villages.

It's awful that the banks, post offices and general shops seem to be shutting down. In a few years there won't be anything left in our villages!!

I don't drive, this is my local and only post office near me. I will be lost without it. Please save our post office. I never normally do these things, so hoping this will make a difference :)

one has gone already close by this is our last post office without using a car. We are becoming like the USA.

When will the powers that be realise that vital personal services should be protected and encouraged. The Post Office in Haslemere is one such service
