NO FARM at a Agricultural University, this is unbelievable. What next???? My children wanted to come in a few years but now will consider other places. Don't sell the farm, you know its not the way forward......

Just to have a herd of cows at one time they’ve gone the Steadings herd what’s the point in having agriculture students if you don’t have any agriculture to train them on

Being an RAU alumni I understand the vital role that Harnhill plays in the development of future food, REALM and agri entrants. Even though the farm may still be used for learning, not having control over the land will likely lead to a reduction in the highly reputable research that the university offers to industry. It would be a disaster!

Not only is Harnhill vital for training new entrants to farming, it also enables the RAU to innovate and put into practice different farming strategies. As an educational institution dedicated to food, farming and land management, the RAU should be at the forefront of research and practical application. This is arguably more needed now than ever.
